Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has ordered for the elimination of a flying squad officer who stopped him from accessing the president in Mombasa on Monday.

A WhatsApp chat going around Joho has ordered that the police officer and member of the dreaded Flying Squad unit be ‘taken care’ of to which his Chief of Staff (Rtd) Major Idris Abdulrahman responds by saying that the matter is being taken care of by ‘their people in Majengo and the issue will be sorted out by the end of the week.

Majengo slums is a traditionally known breeding ground for criminals and drug dealers and in recent days it has also become hub for sleeper cells of the Al_shabab militia.

Joho was also captured live on camera threatening the said officer on Monday morning during an incident where he was stopped by police from going to disrupt the President’s event to relaunch the Mtongwe ferry service in Likoni, Mombasa. The threats were made in the presence of officers of the GSU that is responsible for offering the president security.
